Step 1: Open IMO messenger app. The following screen would appear. You can choose whether to allow or to not allow the app to send you notifications. I recommend you to allow the app to send notifications as you will get to know about the messages and calls received when you are not using the app.
Step 2 : Now you need to choose your country name. Enter your number and click on Get Code button. Wait for the code to arrive. You need to be connected to the Internet for the code to arrive at time.
Step 3: Then, a message box will pop up where IMO would request us to allow it the access to our contacts. Click on OK button.
Step 4: Now you can upload your display picture or avatar as it is said in IMO. You enter your nickname or your name simply and then hit confirm to continue with the login/signup.
Step 5: Choose your preferable language and save the settings now.
Now, you have successfully logged in to or signed in to the IMO app. Then the home screen i.e. the chat section of IMO app appears as shown in the picture below.

There are many features in IMO. Sending Text Messages on IMO
Launch the IMO app on your phone and go to the home screen. In the home screen you can see the bottom navigation bar which has three icons, namely, Chats, Camera and Contacts. Chat section is already opened by default. Now go to the “Contacts” section/icon. Choose the contact to whom you want to send the message. As soon as you click on the contact you want to chat with, IMO chat page with that person will appear on the screen. Type the message and click on the send arrow. When you send the message, immediately you will see a tick at first which implies that the message has been sent successfully and a second tick i.e. the double tick implies that the sent message has been delivered to the person successfully.
Sending Video & Audio Messages and Pictures on IMO:
Like text messages you can also send the video messages. On the IMO chat page, click on the camera icon at the leftmost side of bottom of the page. You can now send the picture and the video message clicked and recorded instantly.You can also record the audio message by clicking on the record audio icon which appears like a microphone, located at the bottom right side of the screen. You can also send the pictures and the videos from your gallery by clicking on the picture icon. IMO also provides you with variety of emoticon, emojis and stickers to make your chat more fun. Adding Stories on IMO
You can add stories in IMO as in other apps. A critical feature that distinguishes IMO from other messaging platforms is the capacity to accept stories on users platform. To do this on IMO, you navigate to the first page using the HOME button on the page i.e. the chat section which is opened by default when you launch the app and tap on the “Tap to add your story” icon at the top of the IMO page. You can then snap a picture directly or select an image from your gallery and set it as a story for your IMO profile.
How to Delete IMO Account?
If you are wondering how to delete your IMO account without uninstalling the app then here is the tutorial for you. It’s really easy process. Follow the below mentioned steps :
Step 1: Go to your own profile by clicking on your picture/ dp(display picture) or avatar which is located on the top extreme left side of the home screen.
Step 2: Then you will see the following screen appearing after you have clicked on your display picture/avatar. Click on the Settings icon which is on the top, extreme right of the screen as indicated in picture below:
Step 3: When clicked on, the setting icon will lead you to the page with many settings options. Keep scrolling until you find ” Delete imo account” option. Click on that option as shown in the picture below:
Step 4: Now you need to choose your country and the phone number for which you want to delete the IMO account. Enter the number and click on Delete as shown below:
Now your IMO account is successfully deleted. You will be removed from all IMO groups, your account profile and info will be deleted and your imo message history will also be deleted.
